This is my second thermos. (My son is now officially out of the superhero phase.) Started doing hot lunches because a classmate had it so, well, that meant we had to as well. Biggest surprise was lunch took less time to make this way as I could just heat leftovers or do quickie frozen food in a bind (Trader Joe's mini pizzas, chicken nuggets, etc.). The only flaw is the plastic ring. It's not needed if not doing soups but I like to use it for the extra seal. Lost the previous one (from the Batman one) and you can't get replacements for it.

I really like these containers. They look a little on the small side but they actually hold a perfect amount for a kid in elementary up to at least Jr high. My kids also say that they're good is still warm by the time they go to lunch. I use faucet water all the way on hot and let it sit in the containers while i warm their food and it's perfect.
