Great thermos! DO NOT BUY FOOGO version! I bought this thermos and 2 foogos for my girls. They all worked perfect for 3 months, food would still be piping hot at lunch time. But then the FOOGO version started having serious lid problems. I always make sure to hand wash them, just to be safe with seals and lining. This version is sleeker and less bulky too.

This is a replacement of the one I purchased for my son when he was going into Kindergarten. Now he is going into 6th grade. This product lasts forever. The only reason I purchased another one is due to the fact the design is wearing thin on the old one. Otherwise it still is in good working condition. I have always added hot water for 10 minutes prior to adding food. My son's school does not offer a lunch program, so we are pros as to what works when sending hot food products! We love the Thermos brand products.

We used this for the first time today and it worked perfectly. I tested it a few days ago by filling it with hot tap water and checked the temperature thirty minutes later. It had gone down ten degrees. I checked the temperature another thirty minutes later and it had gone down another three degrees. So, I used it this morning to send my son to school with a hot soup. I heated the soup on the stove to boiling and then let it simmer for a few minutes while I heated the Thermos with hot tap water. I replaced the water with soup and sent it to school. When I picked up my son from school he was so excited to tell me that the Thermos worked "awesome". He said, "It wasn't warm, Mom, it was HOT! I had to blow on it!" I figure the soup was in the Thermos for about three and a half hours.
