We tried a wood cutting board for a while, and it got tiresome to always have to wash it by hand. Also heavy. I finally bought three plastic ones. One top rated Amazon cutting board by Progressive International (huge), one Oxo pour cutting board (medium), and this one (small). I always grab this one when I can because it's such a convenient size to store, clean (top shelf in dishwasher), and handle. I use it to chop herbs, tomatoes, olives, lemons/limes, jalapeno, onion, sometimes lettuce.I generally use my medium/big ones for larger tasks, for instance, when I'm handling meat or making a stew (chopping lots of carrots/potato/celery). Also, when I want to make a salad for everyone, I'd use the medium one, not small. Too little space (but therefore easy to manage). If I'm making a chicken pot pie (which only requires one or two carrots), then I'd use this little one.I like the feel of this. Perfect weight, perfect thickness, perfect grip. It is great when you have to cut jalapenos (for guacamole) or onion (for a stew) because it won't flavor whatever else you cut up. If you cut everything on one big board, your salad might taste like onion or jalapenos. This thing is the most-used cutting board I have. I absolutely love it. Catches tomato juice like a dream. Here to buy a second one.

I use Amazon for everything yet I rarely write reviews.Here the cutting board is, 5 years later. Works perfect. I’m most surprised that it remained level, no fluctuations or unevenness while cutting. It’s a little stained but please understand...we cook all day every day, rarely something like this holds up to pure savagery. 100% certified long-lasting and brilliantly made cutting board, buy it.

I ordered the 7.5x10.5 cutting board and it’s the perfect size for chopping most veggies. It’s small enough I can toss it in a drawer or the sink, so it’s not in my way—something incredibly important if you have a tiny kitchen. I like that the board has a no-slip grip, my last board liked to jump around as I chopped, so this is a huge improvement. What I don’t like is the large grooves that formed during the first use (and every use since.) It makes it much harder to clean and I’m never certain it’s 100% sanitary. My older board that I’m replacing after 7 years of hard use barely has any grooves at all, so this was really unexpected. Overall a really nice board, I’ll likely pick up a larger size in the future if this one holds up well.

Let me start by saying my wife and I love these small cutting boards.Our situation: we have a 14 month old son, who we diligently prepare breakfast and lunch for every day to avoid the fishsticks and other prepared meal options he has at daycare for lunch. He gets a mixture of foods, most requiring some form of chopping into baby safe sized pieces - ie: chicken, fresh vegetables, fish, avocados etc. Constantly getting out the large chopping boards for this purpose was a pain - so much so we didn't use it; so we went through an ungodly number of paper plates each week, even though we have a dishwasher!I tend to be the one in our household to try and fix these types of things, so I decided to get one of these small OXO Good Grips chopping boards to fill this much needed gap in kitchen utensils. Wa-la, it fit the need perfectly - so well in fact I picked up a second one. They are light, can fit side by side next to the plates in our cabinet, and they take up only a plate slot in the dishwasher (our dishwasher can only fit large cutting boards on the very left hand side or it hits the roof - hey, apartment living I guess). You can pull one out to cut up a quick banana or pepper instead of a plate (don't we all just love the sound of a good knife grinding against a ceramic plate?) or even grown up food to chop up a quick onion or garlic etc. It really has fit the bill and I can't imagine going without it.If you're a daily chopper for any reason, I would suggest adding this to your kitchen arsenal. Thanks!

Used a pretty dull knife to cut up boneless chicken breasts and it left fairly deep gashes in the board (see picture). The juice troth was definitely nice though! Kept all the juices from overflowing into counter. Rubber legs kept it in place too. Overall, acceptable cutting board for this price as compared to others.

I really like these OXO cutting boards (2 sizes). They are very close to the board material I was looking for but don't think I will ever find. These are the next best thing. They clean so easy and so far have not stained. I don't know how to rate them on being heat resistant because I would never purposefully put them near any heat source. I do put them in the dishwasher when necessary.

I got the 7.5" x 10.5" version. Which unfortunately is a little small, but that's nobody's fault but my own. However, I do have to say that like the other OXO products that I own, this does not feel cheap at all. One side has a "gutter" along the outside to catch drippings, which is actually quite ingenious, so if you ever cut a rested steak or chicken breast, you will appreciate this feature. The non-stick rubber doesn't smell and is also not absurdly sticky such that it can't be moved at all. I have not noticed any easy scarring on the surface, so it will likely last a long time. As with any cutting surface make sure you scrub it properly to get meat/residue out of any cut grooves before throwing it in the wash to sanitize. Overall I am pretty satisfied with my purchase and will likely add a bigger version to my collection.

I use this size cutting board the most and have had to order several. I use it in the morning to chop fruit. I use it during lunch to make salads. I also use it for dinner to quick chop small items like herbs and lemon/limes. This Oxo board is my favorite cutting board over all others, including bamboo and wood. I have this Oxo board in every size but the 7.5x10.5 board is the one I use most.The board is dishwasher safe and I prefer washing it via dishwasher to ensure it is disinfected. It is also so much easier to just throw a dirty board in the dishwasher versus scrubbing it. In order to have several in the dishwasher and several still available I have ordered a few of this size board so I never run out.This is the perfect little kitchen cutting board. I highly recommend it.
