I'm a huge fan of Zero Water's filtration system and have been using it with great satisfaction for some months now. I live in a region of the country that has a municipal water supply providing water quite seriously polluted with dissolved solids. It's routinely over five hundred p.p.m.-- and it tastes like it.This vendor is not Zero Water, but a reseller. I'm almost certain that my last order was fraud. The filter cartridges arrived as usual and seem to be packaged as original, but the t.d.s. is reading over one hundred, right out of the bag, on the first test of the filtered water. And you can taste it.One hundred twenty parts per million of total dissolved salts isn't necessarily harmful or even poor quality water, depending on what's in that assortment of dissolved solids, but I'm paying ten dollars to purify this horrible tap water over time, and if the filters read over one hundred p.p.m right out of the package, they'll be useless in a few days for my purposes. Genuine Zero Water filters remove total dissolved solids completely, reading zero, for approximately nine gallons of the tap water here, and that's what I'm paying for. Once the filter becomes saturated with dissolved solids, it will very quickly foul and reflect a buildup of these pollutants in the readings. Not long after reaching fifteen to twenty p.p.m.-- if continuing to use the filter and adding tap water to it at this point-- the filter fails and the water takes on a strange acidic and repellent taste. Zero Water's recommendation to remove and replace the filter at a reading of 006 p.p.m. is actually quite accurate and helpful, and no manipulation of the consumer, I have found.I suspect these filters, from this vendor, have been recycled, as strange as that sounds. I have no other explanation I can think of-- but in any case these are completely defective and polluted before even being used.I'm going to contact Amazon directly very soon to describe what I've found here, since I do believe this is intentional fraud, which, by the way, is quite common on Amazon and difficult for them to prevent.I offer this warning, as a service to the public, whether you have awful tap water as I do, or not: buy from Zero Water directly and not through any reseller, or at least not this one. This is plainly fraud.Update (1 July 2021): I reordered directly from Zero Water, and, once again, I'm highly impressed with the product. I had no more trouble with filter cartridges that were polluted to begin with, after reordering from Zero Water directly.And the price is no worse.So-- I've reviewed the product quite positively, but the vendors are what I'm warning about! I highly recommend that you make sure to order directly from Zero Water, and not from any distributor or reseller.

These filters do not work as well as the store bought ones. They will not filter all of the water you put up top and the unfiltered water will sit in there half full until you drain the other half of the filtered water and then you have to wait for it to filter again. They work fine for a week and then stop filling the container. I usually only get 1/3 of the amount it can hold and then it stops filtering.

Make sure you get authentic filters. See my video for differences. There are a lot of fakes, but there are differences you can see/ feel. The fakes DO filter to 000, but don’t last as long, and don’t seem as sturdy.The authentic ones are awesome though. I’ve bought this listing off Amazon 4 times (3 times were a 4-pack, the most recent was a 6-pack), and at least twice, the filters were authentic. The 6-pack was definitely a knockoff, but I don’t know if *all* the 6-packs listed are fakes or not.

My tap water tastes awful. I bought a Zero Water unit from a big box store and whoa! Totally fine tasting! But I wasn't paying attention and suddenly it tasted like weird lemons. Looked it up online (and used the built in tester) and sure enough it's because the filter went bad.Spent 40 bucks for a pack of replacement filters because that first experience with the unit was great!Still tastes like lemon. The tester says it's fine, the tester clearly doesn't have a tongue.Seems like ZeroWater puts one good filter in the initial unit and then treats you like a sucker. A lemon sucker.40 bucks for these replacements - a big jug of lemon juice costs like 3 and would taste the same.I really, really wanted this to work. But I'm back to buying 2.5 gallon jugs or water from the store.

was excited I had found filters a little bit cheaper then what they were in the store....i found the reason why. The box that was inside the shipping box the seal was broken, didnt think too much of it I figure the filters are in sealed packages. The packages were pretty scuffed up. Opened the first one and water inside the cap, I found this very odd out of all the replacement filters ive boughton ive never had water inside the cap. Figured alright I need to replace the filter, put the new on on. Started the process of filling water didnt want to come out, hit the side a d it helped. decided I was going too test the water that is coming out, reading 001 already...the water that went in was 056 now there is no reason this filter in 2 mins of use should have a reading of 001 I'm sending them back tomorrow.I tasted the water that was filtered, it does not taste like the water from the filters I've bought from the actual store. it honestly tastes horrible.

I ordered off amazon because walmart was completely out.. got the product very quickly the next day which was awesome but on the down side I usually use 2 filters a month so this was suppose to set me for 2 months getting 4 filters.After 1 day the first filter wasn't filtering through, well okay.. I'll add the second one no biggie. About a week in I'm changing it again hasn't even been able to filter a whole container it's taking so long I've had water waiting to be filtered for atleast 2 days now.. this is ridiculous I wont buy from here again I am now putting in a 3rd filter to see if this one will even filter through today and I bought these like a week ago. Sorry but it feels like I wasted my money..UPDATE: okay.. ONE filter worked and didn't smell previously used out of all 4 ONE works, I opened the 3rd and didn't even try it there was black stuff on the top and it smells gross.. 4th one filled up my water container in no time and didn't smell weird and I have water.. will still only be going to walmart from now on cause i used 40 bucks for a single filter.

I purchase the ZeroWater ZP-010, 10 Cup Water Filter Pitcher with Water Quality Meter and extra filters on April 16, 2021. When I started to use it the Zero Water cartridge did not filter more than 12 gallons of water before I notice the sour/acidic taste. I took a reading with your TDS meter and I got a reading of 771 (note when I tested the water in my tap I get around 300-320). I chalk it up to probably its a starter filter cartridge that came with the unit.I then open the filters I ordered and low and behold again I had the same problem, the Zero Water cartridge did not filter more than 12 gallons of water before I notice the sour/acidic taste, again I tested the water and it was 793 TDS (I immediately tested my tap water and got 310).I am hoping to get a refund....moving on to something different.

Out of the 4 I purchased, so far one has completely failed to filter at all. If I hold it up out of the pitcher the water will move through the filter, however the moment it's submerged in the pitcher no water can move through filter. Paid for four might have three. This isn't the first time I've run into this issue, but after these filters are done I'm done with Zero Water for good. I'm sick and tired of poor quality filters and poor product shipping material. The filters were in box that didn't prevent them from jostling around. So there's a good chance the material in the filter is just soo packed no water will flow. I normally keep two pitchers on hand. It's just not worth it for such poor quality filters. Back when they were black seals and lid and for many years prior to changing to blue, never had issues like now.

A couple of times we thought we needed to change the filter after only a couple of weeks because water was not flowing down through the filter into the container. Then we discovered the secret: It's important not to fill the top reservoir so much that the bottom container fills up to the top. Water then seeps between the top reservoir and the sides of the container and blocks air flow, which then won't allow the water to drain down. If that happens, lift up the reservoir and set it at an angle on top. Water will immediately begin flowing down through the filter again.

I just received these and compared it with the filter I was replacing that I purchased four of in the store for about the same price (approximately $50). The filters I replaced read at little over 60 on the LED monitor. The body of the filter I was replacing is much firmer and the seal worked well. These, however, have a flimsier plastic body that bends inward with very little pressure applied and they do not seal properly, not even close. I just received them so I tried replacing the filter hoping this product still offers the same results. It does not. The LED read out on the monitor was higher, 81 on the LED monitor. I mine as well use the filter I was planning on replacing until I find them in the store again. I plan to return these. Don't waste your money. You save nothing when right out of the package, they read over many times (13.5 times over, to be exact) the recommended 006 particles that Zero Water recommends replacing the filter at. They are much cheaper at Bed Bath & Beyond, all things considered. You save nothing on these and take the loss or have to add another item to your "to do" list' return them.

I ordered the pack of 4 filters. I used the first filter and it worked as expected (with an initial reading of 000). Unfortunately it lasted until I had missed the return period. The 2nd filter was completely defective and regardless of how many times I flushed it out, the TDS (total dissolved solids) reading would never drop below 008 (which is not usable). The 3rd filter in the pack would never get a reading of 000, but eventually got down to a reading or 002 (which is usable I suppose). I haven't opened the 4th filter yet. I guess the filters should be purchased directly from ZeroWater (the manufacturer). These filters on Amazon are definitely defective.

Bought the 2pk before from Amazon many times and everything was fine. I bought a 4pk this time and the filters have a plastic taste to them. They also didn't come in a Zero Water black box packaging. They were packaged in their shrink wrap in a brown cardboard box and have all the zero water markings though. So seems legit. I had to run about 5 gallons of water through it to get rid of most of the plastic taste... Effectively killing 10% of the filter since they do about 50 gallons per filter and my tap waters not exactly the best.I would guess that the longer the filters sit in a hot warehouse, the better the chance of getting a plastic taste seeped into your filter. All I know is that if I buy a fresh one from WalMart in the original packaging I don't get the plastic taste.Hit and miss. You might get a fresh batch of filters just made last week and I got ones that were sitting around for a year. Your experience might not be that of mine, but all I can tell you is I got some janky ones. I hope yours don't taste like plastic and waste your time/money/water/filtration life.

I have had my Zero Water pitcher for a few years and just loved the taste of the water, having never bought filters from Amazon before. Now, after just a few weeks, the water starts smelling fishy. Because I've used this filtered water in my Keurig I've had to figure out how to clean the water lines out. WHEN THERE IS A SMELL LIKE THIS THERE IS BACTERIA GROWING IN YOUR FILTER! Is it even safe to use?In the future I will be going back to Target our Wal Mart to purchase my filters.I'll go back to Target or Wal Mart for any future filters.

Never before have I experienced such a problem with water filters. I have 3 Zero Water containers. All are 23 Cup. These filters expell the contents up into the filling resaviour. When I pour water from the container some of the charcoal etc gets into the drinking water. I have never experienced this kind of problem before. I know it isn't the lot I bought because I am on my second order and they are doing the same thing. I find it very agraviating.

4 pack of replacement filters showed up in total disarray! Were the heavy, large filters damaged internally? I won't know for some time AS THE DISPENSER MAY OR MAY NOT SHOW UP LATER. If someone had reinforced the inadequate box bottom design with a simple piece of packing tape I wouldn't have to be writing this. As I read through low ratings I am now concerned about the filter adding microplastics.

I have been using this type of water filter for many years, at least 15. I began filtering my water to remove minerals and contaminants so I could brew a better cup of coffee. I drink it black, so the taste of the coffee is so important. You need three things: a good coffeemaker, good water and good coffee. I now use it for cooking vegetables and rice, etc. I keep my aluminum travel bottle ready in the fridge for daily outings in the car. I don't drink water out of plastic bottles. Our Maryland water is very good, so my water filters last a fairly long time.

Not sure how it's possible for this new box of filters (from the same brand) could be so different but it's a huge disappointment. My first box of 6 filters last me about 3-4 weeks each filter. This new box, the first filter only lasted a week and a half (a bit less actually... maybe 8 or 9 days). By "lasted" I mean that's how long it took for the water to start tasting super sour. This is ridiculous. Looking into another filter company. And NO my water usage didn't change, I didn't suddenly need to drink more than double the amount of water. This just went bad really quickly. Never buying again..Updating to add that 2 of them were even worse, the water going through took a few hours. Super slow. What the heck was up with this last box of filters? Total B.S.

I keep a stock of these for my water machine. They definitely do the job of cleaning the water! Never really had a problem with them! One lasts me about 2 months depends on how much water your using too. We have a water jug inside fridge that we use these for. I also have a water tester to keep on top of when I need a new filter. Very rarely I have a problem where the water is slowly going thru the filter almost like it’s stuck or something... I just remove the filter and then place it back in... and it starts working again.. water begins to flow thru the filter. It’s only happened twice in a year.

The filter is not the same as before anymore. We’ve been using their products for over 3 years now and they used to last about 3 weeks. However the past 3 filters we got lasted only for 10 days. I’ve checked my tap water with the tds tester and the number has not changed much. I really hope their quality will get better because I like the taste of the water but spending about $360 per year for this filter is a little pricey..

This was my first order of replacement filters for my zero water pitcher. I use water that has been filtered by my refrigerator, and it tests at around 270. After going through the zero water filter, it tests at 0. It does make a difference. I waited until the original filter was reading about 70 to order replacements. The four-pack seemed to be about the best deal. The filters are surprisingly heavy. They are easy to replace and do not need to be flushed before the first use. The only question now is how long will it last.

Living in farming area, we have well water & a pretty deluxe water softening system... yet, our tap water has problems. People tell me we're better off drinking/cooking w/ well water, but we don't like it. So, after trying other affordable "fixes," we tried Zero-Water & it is wonderful! No joke! No flavor whatsoever... perfectly clear ... amazingly delicious. Makes best coffee ever... even use it exclusively for all drinking/cooking (including for all my pets). These filters are pricey, but the water quality & convenience are worth it to us.

Fits the ZeroWater pitcher I have, first two worked great. Meter read zero until we'd used them for awhile, when we filled the top of the pitcher, all the water would go through in 5 minutes or less.The problems start with the second to last one:Filtered ok for a little while, but then water would take ages to go through, but meter still read only 3 (6+ warrants replacement) The day it read 6, replaced with the last one. The last one is slow from day one. Filled the top of the pitcher, and came back more than 40 minutes later and it still hadn't all gone through the filter. (keep in mind to fill the pitcher, you need to fill the top 2-3 times) This is still happening a day later. It just isn't viable for how much water the three of us drink, and we have to exclusively use the tap on the bottom, because the top ALWAYS has water in it now. We can't pour it like a normal pitcher because of this.Maybe the unused filters dried out in the time it took to use the first two? Why is the packaging shoddy enough to allow that? We don't use the filters for the min rated time - 3 months per filter - so they should be packed in such a way that they are usable when you get to the 3rd and 4th filter. Very dissatisfied. Considering switching back to Brita, at least those work right away.

I love ZeroWater, it makes the nasty 150+ TDS tap water in my house tastes pure. Just make sure to follow the instruction when using these filters however... When they said to replace the filter when you're reading 6 TDS in the water, change it. Don't even play with this. Because these things are a bit overpriced, you may be tempted to keep using each filter until the water tastes kind of nasty but don't. It's not worth it because of...♪ FISHY FISHY! ♪No, you don't want to smell that. You really don't.

When I first bought a ZeroWater pitcher, I was skeptical. I've been distilling my drinking water since at least 1985, and I love the pure, clean taste. These ZeroWater filters give my distiller competition! When my daughter, who lives in another state, complained about the awful local tap water there , I bought one of the ZeroWater units and sent it to her. Quote: "The best gift you could have given me." Individual filters can be expensive, but in quantity not bad. Either way, well worth the choice. Great tasting water!!!

First, this item is prone to air bubbles causing the filtration of water to take literally FOREVER. Before realizing that we needed to keep removing the entire upper piece every time this happened, we would just wait around to refill water at the top.Lastly, it has finally met it’s last day. The dispenser piece slowly started to dispense water less effectively. Streams of water would either go in opposite directions or at an angle. Additionally, the stream would actually slow down so I’d have to stand there EVEN LONGER. Today, the dispenser has finally broken completely off.

Does what it claims to.When used with the city water supply this fliter seems to last a long time. I also use it in a location with well water. The well sometimes has very fine particles in the water. The good news is that this fliter gets most of them. There are some particles that are less than 1 micron, and the filter doesn't remove them (my hiking fliter does). The bad news is that they fill up the filter and the lifetime is shorter. Wish I could backflush the filter....

I have been using this since we built our house 13 years ago We have a well which tests about 118 for sediment . filters bought from Amazon have no problems and are not used use your tester you will see these filters last 2 months here we have 2 adults, 2 dogs and 6 cats on filtered water and we have not had any problems with bloody vomit that i have seen in other reviews we have had new kittens to old cats and dogs on water .I will continue to use the best filter I believe you can buy.

First of all, I'd like to give this filter 0 stars... why? BECAUSE IT HAS RUINED ME!!! I never realized how many chemicals (such as chlorine) and minerals (not good) are in water (bottled or through other filters). Now I can't drink any other water! It has no taste and I LOVE IT!!!! If I can somehow describe it, the closest thing I could think of is "crisp." If you want the best filter out there (I've tried so many), aside from those professionally installed filters, I would get this one... if you want to continue drinking poorly filtered water, stick to other filters or bottled water (and continue to pollute the world and hurt thousands if not millions of our little sea-friends). THE ONLY DOWNSIDE: I wish they would instal a different release nozzle. Brita has a really nice one; this one needs some finger muscles to get the water out.

I measured my water before filtering( after 2 months of use), 342. After filtering, ZERO! The water where I live is horrible and I was spending a lot of money on bottled water. Zero water has saved me quite a bit of money. Totally paid for itself within 2 weeks and is going strong on the third month of using the initial cartridge.
