I really wanted to keep this stand. But it's going back after one use. The plates for the cakes to rest on are plastic. Relatively thin plastic. They have a little ledge that rests on the metal stand but it doesn't latch in any way. They just basically sit on top of the rings, with no support on the underside. We used this for a birthday party for three people, so we put 3 normal sized cakes on it, nothing too taxing. The stand was assembled and left on the same table... no moving it around from site to site. The cakes sat there for two days. When I removed them, two of the plastic plates were cracked from the edges in. They had never been moved and the cakes were not very heavy. It seems like without some sort of support this would be a common problem. We tried to see if there was any way to glue them, but nothing would work. So we have to return them as we could never risk using them again.

The cake stand worked well and served as a great way to display separate layered cakes without having to go through the hassle of "constructing" a true tiered cake. The stand was easy to assemble, once you read the instructions. Overall, the price was much more affordable than other cake stands and it suited our needs perfectly. I was disappointed, however, in the condition of the product that I received. The clear plastic trays that served as the base for the cakes were all noticeably scratched, although the product was supposed to be new. Because the event I was using them for was only a week out, and because they would be covered by cake boards, I did not return the stand, but I did feel like I had perhaps been sent a product someone else had used and returned.

First one i orden the bags of pics came opened and one of the little legs was missing.Had to return it and get a new one.The 2nd one was good the box and bags were closed and was easy to assamble.
