The best garlic press I've ever used. It really gets the most out of a clove and is very comfortable to use. The shop was also very helpful regarding delivery.

It was finally time to dispose of our old garlic press, with the enamelling flaking off. Read reviews of this on line & decided to order despite its price. I'm delighted to say that it has proven to be a superb piece of equipment.It's quite large for small hands, but doesn't require much effort to press the garlic through. The easy clean action works a treat. Highly recommended.

I'm a domestic user and was looking for a press that would last. I initially thought that this press was pricey but I,m now very pleased with my purchase. It's got a good ergonomic grip easy to use and is easy to clean. It is built well and from good material and will last a cooks lifetime. This could become a family heirloom !

The Web page advertises this product as the Kuhn Rikon Epicurean Garlic Press. It is not this product, but a Chinese fabricated imitation. It looks a lot like the Kuhn-Rikon product, but there are differences. The different number of apertures in the press: the genuine Kuhn-Rikon has significantly more. The shape of the ‘nose’ of the product is noticeably rounder than the nose shown on the Kuhn Rikon website. And then there is the complete lack of branding and trademarking on both the device and the packaging. Finally, the packaging identifies the product as having been made in China, whereas Kuhn-Rikon products are made in Switzerland. Put simply this product can be described as passing off as a Kuhn-Rikon - that is, a form of corporate fraud.That Amazon Australia compounds this fraud by allowing the vendor to use a name that suggests they are at least based in Australia is inexcusable. Amazon Australia itself is complicit in passing off this product as authentic. An overhaul prof Amazon is needed to stop this sort of corrupt business practice.

I go through a lot of garlic presses.I cook every meal from fresh ingredients and that includes at least an entire bulb of garlic in every pan of meat.Garlic presses come to my house to be crushed into pieces and thrown in the trash.I've only used this three times but I am happy to say that despite its shortcomings, it's the best crusher I've ever used, and I didn't know it was possible to have a device that works this well in the kitchen. It is easy to use and durable.I recommend that you buy this without hesitation!There are two grievances, I list them more so you can understand them and decide if it works for you.The first is that it is very possible to pinch your hand badly. This device is intended to provide a ton of leverage but it's also low-profile meaning it does not take up a lot of space. You can see the safety/functionality trade-off here. I haven't pinched myself yet, but caution is necessary when I use it because I know at some point a big pinch is coming!The second complaint isn't so much a complaint, as discovering that I have to clean this in a new way than I'm used to. Every press I've had previously had one of those little stabbers which could reverse back, and push out the pulp which would make the rest of the cleaning quite simple. I can't do that with this one. There is no set of stabbers & you can see that the screen flips out, and it is intended for more than just garlic. It looks intended to be thoroughly cleaned for heavy use in many different ingredient situations. For example, I already crushed clementines and I found that it made it very easy to clean because it folded out. Cleaning will be a little more time consuming but you can subtract that extra time from the fact that I can crush my product literally ten times faster now.The final compliment I'd like to state is that there is no waste or leaking. I did not find that any of the product squished out the edges as I pressed down. Almost 100% of the product got crushed through the holes where it was supposed to go, and that is not something I've previously experienced. What a pleasure to NOT have to deal with scraping leaky bits. A real time saver.While I have only used this for a week I am confident to say that I am as pleased as can be the money spent, and I expect to own this for life. It's durable beyond anything I could expect.Buy it.Edit: I came back to add this piece of information to the review: I have crushed over 50 entire bulbs of garlic with this thing and it's as good as the day I bought it. I am very confident after several months of ownership that this is truly a workhorse and you need to have this in your kitchen. I'd also like to point out that after several months I have never once pinched myself.

This product is defective. The customer "Billyblastoff" had the same issue as we did. They took great pictures to show what happened: The rivets came off after less than one year of use. This happened to us twice. The first time, we complained to amazon and received a replacement. The second time happened less than one year later. Our new replacement model also lost its rivets and was rendered useless. What's worse is that we didn't notice the rivets fall out and they were lost in the sink.I don't believe that we were unlucky. Instead, I'm sure this product is built defectively and that the manufacturer hasn't been able to (or isn't willing to) fix it. Unless this is changed, please DO NOT buy this product.

Purchased June 2016 and broke today Jan 2018. Worked great until it the screw fell out and could not be put back in. Why would they produce an item where a screw cannot be put back in. It literally fell out thus releasing one of the joints. I put the screw back in a few times but it kept falling out. Before long one of the other joints slipped and now it is completely broken. Why waste almost $50 on a garlic press when you'll get a year and half out of a $20 garlic press anyway.
